A christmas baking session

I was welcomed into the home of this beautiful family to capture the magic of making Christmas cookies together. Little hands, tiny feet perched on the countertop—scenes that stir fond memories for so many.

It never stops moving me, how much connection lives in the everyday. Laughter, flour-dusted creativity, the thrill of sitting high to show off their creations, and the bubbling excitement as the cookies baked in the oven.

There was also the familiar tug-of-war—one hand reaching for a quick task when the moment seemed right, only to be pulled gently by a little one needing presence now. A tender, visceral image of how deeply children seek us.

This session was a joy to witness—a quiet celebration of love, mess, and the absolute magic in the ordinary.
